Limited Warranty for Official Website Purchases
This Limited Warranty applies only to eligible Tedgix / EDGE Smart Drive products purchased directly from our official website: https://www.edgesmartdrive.com.
If your product was purchased from another channel, including but not limited to an authorized dealer, distributor, retail store, marketplace, Amazon, eBay, social media seller, or any third-party website, warranty service and after-sales support must be requested through the original seller or purchase channel.
EDGE SMART DRIVE may not be able to directly verify, approve, or process warranty claims for products not purchased from our official website.
This policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
1. Warranty Coverage
EDGE SMART DRIVE provides a limited warranty against confirmed manufacturing defects under normal use and maintenance.
The warranty period starts from the delivery date shown in the official tracking information for your order.

Consumable parts and accessories may include propellers, O-rings, mounting brackets, screws, guards, adapters, bags, and other wear parts.
A valid official website order number, proof of purchase, and purchase email may be required before any warranty claim can be reviewed.
2. Products Purchased from Other Channels
For products purchased outside edgesmartdrive.com, please contact the seller, dealer, distributor, or platform where you made the purchase.
Examples include:
- Local authorized dealers
- Regional distributors
- Online marketplaces
- Retail stores
- Amazon, eBay, or other third-party platforms
- Social media or independent sellers
The original seller is responsible for handling your warranty request, repair request, replacement request, return request, or other after-sales service according to its own sales and warranty policy.
3. What This Warranty Covers
This warranty covers confirmed manufacturing defects, including but not limited to:
- Motor unit failure under normal use
- Main control board or driver module malfunction
- Steering mechanism malfunction not caused by misuse
- Remote controller failure not caused by impact, water ingress, or misuse
- Charger malfunction under normal use
- Battery pack unable to charge or showing abnormal degradation not caused by improper storage or misuse
EDGE SMART DRIVE will determine whether a failure is caused by a manufacturing defect based on submitted evidence and technical review.
4. What This Warranty Does Not Cover
This warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:
- Collision, dropping, crushing, dragging, or impact
- Improper installation or operation not following the user manual
- Running the motor outside recommended usage conditions
- Exceeding depth limits or other product ratings
- Saltwater corrosion caused by failure to rinse and dry the product after use
- Sand, mud, salt, debris, or foreign objects entering the mechanism
- Long-term battery storage without charging or improper battery maintenance
- Use of non-original chargers, batteries, accessories, or modified parts
- Unauthorized disassembly, repair, modification, or circuit changes
- Commercial rental, high-frequency commercial use, or abnormal wear
- Normal wear, cosmetic damage, scratches, oxidation, discoloration, or performance degradation over time
- Force majeure events, including flood, storm, fire, freezing, lightning, abnormal voltage, or other external causes
- Products with removed, altered, or unreadable serial number labels
5. How to Request Warranty Service
If your product was purchased from edgesmartdrive.com and you believe it may qualify for warranty service, please contact us first by email:

6. Diagnosis and Warranty Decision
After receiving your claim, EDGE SMART DRIVE may request additional photos, videos, troubleshooting steps, or product return for inspection.
Many issues can be diagnosed remotely. Customers are expected to cooperate with reasonable troubleshooting instructions.
EDGE SMART DRIVE reserves the right to determine whether the issue qualifies as a manufacturing defect covered by this Limited Warranty.
7. Repair, Replacement, or Parts Support
For approved warranty claims, EDGE SMART DRIVE may, at its discretion:
- Provide replacement parts
- Repair the product
- Replace the defective component
- Replace the product with a new or refurbished unit of equivalent function
Replacement products or parts may not be brand new, but they will be in good working condition and functionally equivalent to the original.
Replacement parts or products do not restart the warranty period. They remain covered for the remaining warranty period of the original product.
8. Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for shipping costs related to warranty inspection, repair, return, or replacement, unless the issue is confirmed to be a product defect on arrival or otherwise confirmed by EDGE SMART DRIVE in writing.
If the product arrives defective, damaged, unable to power on, or missing key components due to an issue caused by EDGE SMART DRIVE or the original shipment, EDGE SMART DRIVE will review the case and may cover the related shipping costs after approval.
Please do not return any product before receiving written instructions from EDGE SMART DRIVE.
9. Dead on Arrival Claims
If a product purchased from edgesmartdrive.com arrives with a major issue, such as failure to power on, obvious product defect, shipping damage, or missing key components, please contact us within 30 days of delivery.

- Clear description of the problem
EDGE SMART DRIVE will review the evidence before confirming whether the case qualifies as a defective-on-arrival claim and whether shipping costs will be covered.
10. Saltwater Use and Maintenance Requirement
If the product is used in saltwater, it must be rinsed thoroughly with fresh water immediately after use, cleared of salt, sand, or debris, and allowed to dry naturally.
Damage caused by improper cleaning or maintenance after saltwater use, including corrosion, blockage, or seizure, is not covered by this warranty.
11. Limitation of Liability
EDGE SMART DRIVE is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to lost profits, business interruption, loss of use, rental costs, travel costs, or third-party claims.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, EDGE SMART DRIVE’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the product purchased from our official website.
